Dickinson Architects coordinated the effort to centralize the Richmond County Board of Education into two existing structures that represent a significant accomplishment in the revitalization of abandoned downtown buildings.
Prior to the renovation, the brick facades of the two structures lacked character and cohesion. As part of the renovation, Dickinson Architects designed a new stucco and stone façade that weaved the two buildings together and maintained the historic architectural fabric of Broad Street. Furthermore, the facility includes highly integrated computer and communication systems that service the office space for nearly 300 employees.
