In 2016, Dickinson Architects provided architectural design services for the Hyatt House in Augusta, Georgia. The 8-story hotel will house a large open lobby space, fitness room, back-of-house services, 100 guestrooms, and an eighth floor amenities level. The amenities floor will consist of an outdoor terrace with a bar and meeting spaces. With an aggressive construction schedule, a precast wall panel system was utilized in which wall panels were manufactured off-site and assembled on-site. The shell of the building was constructed in a fraction of the time it would take traditional methods. Given the constrained site size and parking availability, the hotel will provide two levels of guest parking with additional ground level parking for staff.
