When you are dealing with an attached structure, there should always be some continuity of design. You have to be respectful. With a utilitarian aesthetic like Doctor’s Hospital, that can be tricky. Our mandate was to make it nice, but not too nice. Our focus became the entrance portico, reflecting the clean lines of the existing buildings, but in a very contemporary and welcoming way.
