Designed to sit low on a lightly wooded lot on a busy corner in Augusta, the Friedman Branch Library was designed to both draw attention to the natural surroundings while remaining an unobtrusive part of the urban landscape. As is the case with all libraries, part of the design process was determining how the Friedman needed to function and then finding aesthetically interesting ways to meet those criteria. |
