The Bon Air Hotel, a seven-story art deco structure recognized on the National Register of Historic Places, has long been an Augusta, Ga. landmark. Converted into 200-plus residential apartments for senior citizens, this project provided a historic renovation of the building exterior in accordance with Georgia’s State Historic Preservation Office and the Housing & Urban Development Program. The renovation focused on the roofing system, updating mechanical systems, window replacement and the exterior coating of the building. The work is true to the building’s historic character while enhancing the comfort of the building’s residents.
